This was reported on the website of the State Agency of Highways of Ukraine (Ukravtodor).
It was noted that since the beginning of March, specialists from Ukravtodor and the Dortsentr State Enterprise have monitored repair work at 132 facilities in 21 regions of Ukraine. As a result of the inspection, it was possible to find out that only 23 objects do not have obvious defects, 57 objects have minor defects, and 52 objects have serious defects.
It is reported that the most common defects after repair work are destruction and deformation on the new surface, including potholes, cracks, opening of joints, subsidence of the road surface, as well as work not fully completed.
It is stated that defects also arise due to technical errors, the use of unsuitable materials or work carried out in inappropriate weather conditions.
The head of Ukravtodor, Slawomir Nowak, states that responsibility for technical defects lies entirely with the contractors. He also added that defects that appear after the work is completed must be eliminated by contractors as part of the warranty.
