Thus, future graduates of the Faculty of Law of Uzhgorod National University were asked to sign summons to the military registration and enlistment office even before receiving their diploma.
“I came to the military registration and enlistment office with the goal of signing a bypass form, which was necessary to obtain a diploma at the university. But I was informed that for this I need to sign a summons to the military registration and enlistment office in September. That is, I, while still a student and having a student ID, had to sign. But I had no choice, otherwise I would not have received my diploma,” graduate Alexander, who does not give his last name, shares with reporters.
According to the TV channel, from a legal point of view, such actions by the military registration and enlistment office are illegal - formally, the graduates are still considered students and they were forced to sign the summons.
“Definitely, as long as they are officially students and have not received a diploma, they are not subject to mobilization. Subpoenas can only be issued to them when they are no longer officially students,” said lawyer Vasily Gomonay.
