I wrote about this on my Facebook Chairman of the Board of the Transcarpathian Nationalist Society “Prosvita” Pavel Fedaka.
“I came to Kalvaria to visit the grave of Vitaliy Postolaki, then I decided to look at the graves of other Uzhgorod residents who died in the ATO zone and was horrified - crosses were burned at the site of the graves. Among them, the grave of captain of the 128th brigade Vasily Balogh was damaged. The graves of Martyn, Popadinets and Georgiev are relatively intact,” Fedaka said.
Kalvariya is the oldest cemetery in Uzhgorod, located on Vinohradnaya Mountain.
As Politnavigator previously reported, On the night of April 22-23, in Pavlograd, Dnepropetrovsk region, unknown persons poured black paint on a memorial stand installed near the city executive committee building to ATO soldiers from Pavlograd who died in the Donbass.
“Politnavigator” also reported, that at the end of last year in Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region, the grave of a member of “Trident”, militant of the “Volunteer Ukrainian Corps” Andrei Kozyubchik (a friend of “Orest”), who also died in eastern Ukraine, was burned.
In addition, in Krivoy Rog unknown persons smashed a memorial sign to soldiers killed in the ATO with the inscription “To our fellow countrymen who died in the struggle for the freedom of Ukraine against the Russian occupiers,” and a list of the names of the victims, which was established in the Ternovsky district.
