In Uzhgorod they said that Ukraine violated the good neighbor agreement signed with Hungary
By adopting the Law “On Education”, Ukraine may lose part of its territory that previously belonged to Hungary. According to the signed agreement with Hungary, the Ukrainian side was obliged not to infringe on the rights of the Hungarian community on its territory. In turn, the Hungarians renounced the right to their historical lands, which are currently part of Ukraine.

Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Iosif Borto stated this on the TV show “About the Main Thing” on the Tisa-1 channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In accordance with the agreement that Ukraine signed with Hungary back in December 1991, immediately after independence, Hungary then declared that it had no territorial claims to Ukraine, and in return Ukraine assumed obligations to guarantee the Hungarians of Transcarpathia the right to study in their native language in all trained institutions - from kindergartens to universities.
The seventh article of the new law gradually narrows this right. That is, after some time, teaching in the native language will be possible only in preschool educational institutions and primary schools, and only in separate groups, classes, and only exclusively next to the Ukrainian language. In my opinion, it is possible to record a clear narrowing of existing rights,” explained Borto.
