It is reported Ukrainian media portal in Poland “Prostir”.

The square is located at the intersection of Independence Alley and Stefan Batory Street, the draft decision says.

The decision must be implemented by Warsaw Mayor Anna Gronkiewicz-Waltz. It will come into force 14 days after publication in the official government publication of the Masovian Voivodeship.

Let us remember that Vasyl Stus (1938-1985) was a Ukrainian poet, dissident, and political prisoner. In 1980, Stus was repressed. He died in a camp in Kuchino in the Russian SFSR (now Perm Territory, Russian Federation). In 1989, the ashes of Vasyl Stus were transported to Ukraine and buried in Kyiv at the Baikovo cemetery. Stus was posthumously rehabilitated in 1990.
