In Hungary, they called the claims that the Ukrainian authorities are not involved in the “Peacemaker” website a “lie”

The assertion that the Ukrainian state has nothing to do with the scandalous website “Peacemaker,” which published a list of Transcarpathian officials with Hungarian passports, is false, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was stated by Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó, the press service of the Hungarian government reports.

“It is a lie that the Ukrainian state has nothing to do with a website that lists suspects with Ukrainian-Hungarian citizenship,” he said.

The minister explained that the list contains personal data that is not available from open sources - it can only be obtained from intelligence services or government sources.

“In addition, one of the directors of the NGO, who ran the extremist website, worked in the Ukrainian intelligence service,” the minister added.

Earlier, Myrotvorets published a list of 313 Transcarpathians, holders of Hungarian passports, who are civil servants and local government officials. These people appeared on the list because they “swore allegiance to Hungary” while in public service and local government.

Szijjarto himself had previously been in the database. He believes that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is behind this. According to the minister, Poroshenko agreed to a “campaign of hatred” in an attempt to increase his popularity before the elections.
