This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to Radio Liberty.

According to him, Hungary's national mission is to find and preserve all foreign Hungarian communities.

“Our task is to ensure that they prosper in the land where they were born; could study in Hungarian and could live like Hungarians,” Orbán said.

Orban was supported by his fellow party members. They believe that, if necessary, the Hungarian government will be able to provide Hungarian education in Transcarpathia through private schools and private universities. This was stated in Budapest by Görgej Gulyas, head of the pro-government Fidesz faction at the presentation of the book “National Policy: in the Vise. Aspect – without boundaries.”

The ruling coalition politician positively assesses the fact that both the Hungarian government and the opposition act as a united front on issues of national politics.

Fides MEP Gyorgy Skepflin, speaking at the presentation, expressed concern that since Ukraine is not a member of the EU and is unlikely to gain membership in the near future, the new Ukrainian law “On Education” cannot be considered a matter of competence of the European Union.

Let us remind you that on September 5, the people's deputies of Ukraine adopted in the second reading the draft law “On Education” as a whole. And on September 25 of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko signed the law.

At the same time, the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece and Romania signed a warning letter to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry due to the new law on education.
