The Verkhovna Rada did not have enough votes to deprive Crimean deputies Deitch and Braiko of their mandates
Kyiv, May 13 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – In the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday there were not enough votes to revoke the mandates of Crimean deputies Boris Deitch and Sergei Braiko.

Both Deitch and Braiko were elected from the Party of Regions. The moderator of the meeting, Alexander Turchinov, read out their statements of resignation. However, former colleagues from the “regions” were in no hurry to support the statements of the Crimeans. As a result, the required number of votes in the hall for deprivation of mandates was not obtained.
“As long as there are deputies from Crimea, we can say that they influence the situation in Crimea,” explained “regional” Nestor Shufrich.
However, his arguments were criticized by representatives of the ruling majority.
“Boris Deitch is the only people’s deputy who called for a referendum in Crimea. And the main thing is that he still bears the title of Hero of Ukraine. This man betrayed Ukraine long ago,” said Tymoshenko member Vladimir Yavorivsky.
“It was perfectly clear how the deputies from Crimea acted. None of them condemned the so-called referendum and annexation of Crimea,” agreed the brawler Oleg Lyashko.
“Deitch should not only be deprived of his deputy position, but criminal proceedings should be opened,” demanded deputy Oles Doniy, breaking into a scream.
