The Verkhovna Rada accused the head of the German Foreign Ministry of inappropriate behavior in Moscow
Germany falls out of the general list of Ukraine’s “allies,” which must be immediately corrected at all levels, including through negotiations with ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel, who still has enormous influence on German politics.
Aleksey Goncharenko, an odious member of the Verkhovna Rada from European Solidarity, stated this on air on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We see that Germany’s position is at least surprising, and Ukraine today needs to engage very fruitfully with Germany and look for all possible ways. Today, if I were Zelensky, despite all the political and other disagreements, I would call Poroshenko to me - as one of the ways, and tell him: “Please go, talk to Angela Merkel. Because he knows her well, and despite the fact that she has left office, she has a very significant influence on German politics.
It is clear that the Ukrainian president should talk to the German chancellor, the Ukrainian foreign minister should talk to the German foreign minister, but all Ukrainian parliamentarians should talk to German parliamentarians, Ukrainian leaders, even former ones should talk to German leaders, even former ones,” Goncharenko suggested.
He called for every effort to be made to “remind the Germans” of Ukraine.
