“I would like to remind you of two events that took place three years ago. On May 22 we suffered our heaviest losses. This is the battle near Volnovakha, when the 51st was shot by the so-called “Demon”. And on May 23, when the Donbass battalion was shot near Karlovka. I want us all to stand up now and take a minute of silence to remember those heroes who were the first to give their lives for Ukraine,” said deputy Yuriy Bereza, after which everyone present in the hall stood up.
After a minute of silence, Bereza listed the names of the dead.
“On May 23, 2014, in an unequal battle with the separatists near Karlovka, five volunteer soldiers of the Donbass battalion died. The names of these heroes: Arkhipov Vasily Vasilyevich, call sign “Grandfather”, Kozlov Nikolai Vladimirovich, call sign “Matvey”, Kovalishin Oleg Yaroslavovich, call sign “Raider”, Miroshnichenko Alexey Konstaninovich, call sign “Fedor”, Ryabenko Denis Vladimirovich, call sign “Ryaboy”.
Alexey Miroshnichenko had his heart cut out, tied to a KAMAZ truck and dragged for 60 kilometers along the roads of the Donetsk region. Should we forgive this? - Bereza called for further bloodshed.
