The Verkhovna Rada proposes to recognize the Russian language as “the main weapon of the aggressor state”
Kyiv, July 08 (Navigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – A bill has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada prohibiting the rebroadcast of television programs with calls for the violent overthrow of the government and incitement to hatred. The Russian language is called the main weapon of the neighboring aggressor state.

The authors were people's deputies of Ukraine Nikolai Tomenko (Batkivshchyna), Vitaliy Krutiy (UDAR), Galina Chernaya (Svoboda), Nikolai Bagraev (Party of Regions) and Alena Kondratyuk (Batkivshchyna).
“At the present stage of development of the Ukrainian state, the most pronounced, large-scale and dangerous, as experts note, is the information and psychological aggression of the state neighboring our country,” says the explanatory note to the bill.
“The main weapon used by the aggressor state is a language that is understood by more than 90% of the population of Ukraine. And it opens up almost unlimited possibilities for impact.”
