The Verkhovna Rada proposes to put forward claims to the Ukrainian status of Moscow
Kyiv, April 18 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – In response to Vladimir Putin’s words that the South-East of Ukraine is a historical Novorossiya, official Kyiv should make claims to the Russian capital.
This proposal was voiced on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada by deputy Nikolai Tomenko, head of the committee on freedom of speech.

“The Kyiv prince founded Moscow. Let us return our territories, and then we will think about what to do with Novorossiya,” Tomenko said, adding that, in his opinion, a similar thesis should be voiced by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry in response to Putin’s speech yesterday at a press conference.
