The coalition in the Verkhovna Rada will exist situationally, organizing trades on each individual issue.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“We see that the level of confrontation, tension and conflict between former coalition partners has reached its peak,” the expert is confident. “They can’t agree among themselves.” In the future, I predict for the election period, the coalition can only exist situationally, that is, for each individual there will be a separate set of votes, separate negotiations and separate auctions. Before our eyes, the Verkhovna Rada is turning into the “7th kilometer”. This will not be a coalition, but a bazaar, where again (we have already seen a whole stream of parliamentary “carcasses”) votes will be bought and sold to form situational majorities.”
