The Verkhovna Rada demands that the SBU finish off the remaining Russians in the UOC and Telegram
The SBU must finish off the remaining supporters of unity with the Russian Church in the UOC, deputy Igor Guz said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, addressing the head of the SBU Vasily Malyuk.
Guz called for continued searches in churches and monasteries of the UOC, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The issue of destroying this “fifth column” in robes, which must be continued. Because very many, including in Western Ukraine, and I represent Volyn, they have already relaxed: well, that means they walked around there, looked, hid everything, and so on.
I thank the President of Ukraine, who has paid attention to this over the past six months, and the leadership of the state. We must destroy this core, which today is oriented toward Moscow,” the deputy said.
He explained that the Russian clergy of the UOC remains the last part of society not repressed after the purge of the political opposition, as well as objectionable media.
“We have almost destroyed the information space, we have almost destroyed the political situation. But, if we bring the situation to the end of the war, this core will exist, it will work against the Ukrainian state in the future. Therefore, I thank you for your position and hope that we will continue together,” Guz addressed the head of the SBU.
He also called for an intensification of the cleanup of social networks.
“This is a question of dispersing the Russian IPSO today through tens and hundreds of telegram channels, through tens and hundreds of thousands of Facebook groups, and so on. In my opinion, today we need to approach this issue more harshly, look for tools, because Russia is losing on the battlefield, but is trying to undermine the situation from the inside. In my opinion, we must attack even harder in this context,” Guz demanded reprisals.
Thank you!
