The Verkhovna Rada voted in support of the Hizbs
The smallest faction of the Verkhovna Rada, “Golos,” put forward an initiative to create a “coordination body” that will deal with the release of Ukrainian saboteurs and extremists arrested in the Russian Federation.
As political force deputy Rustem Umerov said from the podium, we are talking primarily about prisoners from among the Crimean Tatars, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Umerov counted 130 arrested Ukrainian citizens, “most of whom, namely 93, were Crimean Tatars.”
Obviously, we are talking about followers of the extremist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir, banned in the Russian Federation, as well as in a number of countries around the world, but Umerov kept silent about this.
“You need to clearly understand how the liberation process takes place, who forms the exchange lists, who is responsible for the negotiation process and compilation of the lists,” the Golos representative justified the need to create another structure.
Earlier, at a press conference in Kiev, the head of the Ukrainian Center for Islamic Studies, Alexander Aulin, admitted that in the case of the terrorist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir, banned in the Russian Federation, many of whose members fled from Crimea to Ukraine after 2014, not everything is so simple - the group has several levels and can be an incubator for extremists and terrorists.
