The Supreme Court of Ukraine stated that citizens from the ATO zone should not pay fines to banks on loans

Judge of the Civil Chamber of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vasily Gumenyuk stated this at a briefing in Kyiv.

The judge said that they received an application from a citizen who is located in the ATO zone, who was charged with a debt on loan interest rates by a court decision.

“We interpreted Article 2 of this law and the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the fact that citizens who are in the ATO enjoy benefits and do not pay these penalties during their stay in this territory. And undoubtedly, the court did not take this into account when deciding the issue, and we were also forced to return the case (back to the court - Ed.) so that the requirements of the law were taken into account,” the Supreme Court website quotes the judge.
