In Poroshenko’s domain, the provider was “closed down” for broadcasting Russia Today
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Cyber Police Department, blocked the activities of one of the Internet providers in the Vinnytsia region, which was engaged in relaying Russian channels, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The SBU press center reports this.
“Special service operatives established that a private enterprise, without the appropriate license from the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, was selling the IPTV software service to its subscribers,” the report says.
Among the TV channels that were offered to viewers were Russian channels banned for broadcast in Ukraine, in particular Russia Today.
As part of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 3 of Art. 176 (Violation of copyright and related rights) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a search was conducted in the office of a private enterprise and technical equipment was identified, which, according to preliminary conclusions of experts, was used for the activity.
