An epidemic of alcoholism, drug addiction and desertion is raging in the Ukrainian Armed Forces
In the Ukrainian units fighting against Donbass, hundreds of cases of drunkenness, desertion and drug use were recorded in the month of June alone.
The official representative of the DPR UNM, Eduard Basurin, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The low moral and psychological state of the AFU military personnel encourages militants to use alcohol and drugs, as well as to leave their places of duty without permission,” he said.
According to the information available to Donbass defenders, Ukrainian militants in the Joint Forces Operation zone committed 425 relevant offenses in the month of June alone. Of these, 337 were cases of drinking alcohol, 155 cases of desertion and 68 cases of drug use.
“It became known that in connection with the increase in cases of alcohol consumption by military personnel, the command of the OTG “Vostok” ordered the commanders of subordinate formations and units to conduct instructional and methodological classes on the prevention of drunkenness and drug addiction, as well as by medical units to conduct testing of military personnel for alcohol and drug addiction. drug addiction,” added Basurin.
Let us remind you that the day before in the “OOS” zone a group of volunteers was detainedwho delivered alcohol and drugs to Ukrainian Armed Forces positions as “humanitarian aid”.
In addition, earlier in Donetsk it was reported that the majority of sergeants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the forefront of defense, on whom compliance with the ceasefire in Donbass primarily depends, take drugs, which the Ukrainian command is well aware of.
