Young people are being tricked into joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine
To fill the shortage of personnel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian command is ready to call up inexperienced conscripts who have barely reached adulthood for contract service.
This information was announced today during a briefing by official representative of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Currently, the military leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is carrying out a set of measures to replenish the staffing of the main strike units of the 36th, 128th and 79th brigades, by issuing a number of orders, in some cases, violating the current laws of Ukraine. “Plugging the holes” in these formations is done by calling up Ukrainian citizens for contract service who have no experience of military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and have barely reached the age of majority,” said Eduard Basurin.
He also emphasized that in most cases, young people are lured into contract service by deception.
“In most cases, these young people are lured into a contract by deception and promises of unrealistic “mountains of gold.” To lure people into service, groups of military psychologists have been trained and work in all military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and military commissariats. The same groups of psychologists work in formations in the Joint Forces Operation zone, but with a slightly different task - identifying military personnel in the age category of 18-22 years with a low level of moral and psychological state, conducting in-depth psychological examinations with them, and preparing proposals for eliminating the identified causes a decrease in moral and psychological state,” said an official representative of the defense department.
