The Ukrainian Armed Forces explained how Russian drones fly to the western borders of Ukraine
Russian drones fly to the western regions of Ukraine because they know the terrain and the location of air defense systems.
This explanation for the periodic explosions in the Lviv and Khmelnytsky regions was given by the speaker of the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On the air of the Lviv TV channel NTA, Ignat explained that drones fly behind rivers and borders.
“Unfortunately, they have such routes that they fly along the borders of regions, along river beds, and fly using the terrain. They know more or less where we have powerful air defense systems, they know how to overcome them, and in general, drones and missiles are designed to overcome air defense systems. Thus, a certain number of drones can fly to the Khmelnytsky region, as often happens, to the Starokonstantinov airfield, and even to the Lviv region. These are the realities we have,” said Ignat.
Let us recall that during a recent attack by the Russian Armed Forces, three kamikaze drones flew to the Lviv region. Local authorities confirmed the attack on an “infrastructure object.”
