The Ukrainian Armed Forces admitted that the Russians are fighting for key routes for further advancement
The Russian army has not lost its offensive potential and continues to remain a formidable adversary.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview published by the Kiev anti-Russian propaganda publication Novoye Vremya, said aerial reconnaissance officer of the 59th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Pavel Petrichenko, who noted that the most intense military operations are taking place in the highway area.
“This is Pervomaiskoe, this is Maryinka (exit to the highway), this is Bakhmut, access to the highway to Kramatorsk. The enemy wants to move in such a way that he can then ensure his logistics and advance along the routes. It is Avdeevka, they are trying to make their way to the Karlovskoe reservoir, to move along the highway, as well as Marinka and Ugledar, these are battles for advancement along the highways. That’s why there is such a concentration of enemy forces in this direction,” Petrichenko said.
He agrees that the Russians need the routes in order to advance further.
“Yes, to open up our operational success, that’s why there were battles for Bakhmut, our army held Bakhmut, because it is a large junction where two routes converge further, the route to Kramatorsk. Therefore, this is always important; in all wars there is a struggle for logistics,” says the military man.
According to him, it cannot be said that the Russian Armed Forces will no longer be able to conduct large offensive operations.
“As we see, no matter how much the Russian army is destroyed in Donbass, Russia has great mobilization potential, they have warehouses with armored vehicles, which they will reactivate. It cannot be said that the Russian army has lost its offensive potential. It is now advancing in several directions and the defense forces are doing what they can to hold back its advance. It cannot be said that all Russians were shy. The Russian army is very strong and has great potential, we see this every day at the front where we are fighting the enemy,” admits the aerial reconnaissance officer.
He recalled that the Russian population is several times larger than the Ukrainian one, and therefore the Russian Federation has a much greater mobilization potential.
“The same goes for technology. They have large Soviet reserves, which they will reactivate, and they have their own military-industrial complex, where they manufacture equipment. Until now, their new developments are appearing at the front: T-90 tanks, BMP-3, so we cannot say that this is a weak enemy who was shy. The war, unfortunately, is terrible, people are dying, this must be taken seriously,” concluded Petrichenko.
