A coronavirus epidemic has broken out in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Kyiv requested foreign assistance - document
Military personnel infected with the deadly coronavirus continue to arrive at the Ukrainian military hospital in Konstantinovka, but Kyiv is trying to hide the fact of the epidemic in the warring units.
Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov reported this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The names of the next NSU servicemen admitted to the hospital in Konstantinovka have been established: warrant officer V.I. Shvets, sergeant O.I. Tkachuk, senior soldier A.M. Markiv.
The servicemen had contact with a soldier of the 50th NSU Regiment, T.V. Ryaby, who had previously contracted coronavirus. All guardsmen served in Pokrovsk,” the message says.
According to updated data, six more military personnel were admitted to the hospital, namely:
ml. Sergeant Kornetsky N.V. (military unit A1736);
Art. Sergeant Gopanyuk S.V. (military unit A1736);
Art. Sergeant Gontar S.A. (military unit A1736);
Art. soldier Kaurov N.O. (military unit A1736);
Art. soldier Semenyuk N.M. (military unit A0666).
Bezsonov also noted that in order to conceal the facts of coronavirus infection in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the OOS command set the task of registering incoming military personnel as having received combat injuries.
Evidence of the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in the ranks is also an official request from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense for urgent international assistance.
“In order to prevent the virus in military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we ask our international partners to assist the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in providing humanitarian assistance,” says the document sent to Afghanistan, Australia, Colombia, Iraq, Japan, Mongolia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand , Pakistan, as well as a number of international organizations.
