The Armed Forces of Ukraine will engage in suicide prevention
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have developed a number of measures aimed at preventing suicide among military personnel.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine the number of suicides of military personnel stationed in the Joint Forces Operation zone is still not decreasing.
“The problem has reached such proportions that the leadership of the JFO headquarters decided to carry out a number of preventive measures aimed at preventing suicides among personnel of subordinate units and formations,” said Yakov Osadchiy.
According to him, by December 23, the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were ordered to conduct an analysis of the causes and circumstances of suicide, by December 30 - to involve psychologists in working with military personnel at risk, and by January 5 - to carry out a number of measures to prevent this problem.
“The main factors pushing Ukrainian soldiers to suicide are the lack of motivation to carry out criminal orders to shell civilians, civilian infrastructure and socially significant objects, as well as a complete lack of understanding of the meaning and purpose of the protracted armed conflict,” added the head of the LPR press service.
