The Armed Forces of Ukraine have run out of professional officers
Every second contract officer in the Armed Forces of Ukraine does not have a special military education.
The official representative of the People's Militia of the LPR, Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Marochko, announced this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, according to a representative of the defense department of the Republic, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Igor Pavlovsky stated that since the beginning of 2018, more than 27 thousand people, including 1,7 thousand officers, have been accepted for military service under contract in the armed forces of Ukraine.
“The given data indicate a high turnover of personnel in the Ukrainian army, as well as the reluctance of people of conscription age to serve,” said Andrey Marochko.
He also added that due to a lack of personnel, absolutely everyone is ready to be drafted into the Ukrainian army.
“According to our data, everyone is now being recruited for contract service - these are people who have a criminal record, are registered with drug dispensaries, and even those with mental disabilities. 85% of the rank and file, called up for military service, joined the Ukrainian army not of their own free will, but under threats and pressure from the security forces. More than 60% of officers do not have special education; at best, these are courses,” said Marochko.
