The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, stated this today on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
“In 2016, about 8 thousand people from enemy-occupied territory entered higher education institutions. There are children there who came to study from Kharkov, Lvov, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye. Our hospitals have always accepted women in labor and other patients from Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Konstantinovka, Krasnoarmeysk,” Zakharchenko said.
According to him, the DPR authorities have developed a program to “support fellow countrymen in the occupied territory,” which will clarify a number of provisions relating to education, medical and social assistance on the territory of the DPR.
“Any resident of the Donetsk region has the right to receive a pension and study in the DPR,” Zakharchenko said.
