About a million former citizens of Ukraine will take part in the State Duma elections
About a million former citizens of Ukraine who have received Russian passports will take part in the upcoming elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation for the first time.
Political scientist Marat Bashirov, former head of the LPR, stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Particularly important are the half a million, if not more, passports that were distributed on the territory of the LDPR. It can be assumed that they will vote in a fairly consolidated manner. Of course, the turnout there will be much higher.
The electronic system, although somewhat complicated, provides the opportunity for the first time to exercise the right of a citizen of the Russian Federation in the formation of the State Duma. At first, this topic remained on the periphery of United Russia, but recently they have been co-opting public opinion leaders into their membership and working on this agenda,” Bashirov said.
