In Yalta, those in contact with a carrier of the virus are forcibly isolated
Two more cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in Crimea. The infected people brought the coronavirus from Moscow.
The head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, Natalya Penkovskaya, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Penkovskaya, one of the sick people, a resident of the Razdolnensky district, returned from Moscow on April 6 and observed the self-isolation regime.
“This is a citizen of the Russian Federation, a resident of the Republic of Crimea, who was in a Moscow hospital for treatment at the Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics. He was there for treatment from March 25 to April 6, and was transferred under medical observation by the Moscow territorial administration upon arrival. All measures for observation and isolation were taken against him as required by protocol. Here is a minimum circle of contacts.
Based on the results of a laboratory examination, he was hospitalized in the Yevpatoria City Hospital, all contacts on the flight were identified and transferred under medical observation. Among the close family contacts, these are two people, they were hospitalized in the observatory, they underwent laboratory examination, the material is being processed. And the four medical workers who provided him with medical care are under medical supervision at home,” Penkovskaya said.
In the second case, the patient was a Muscovite who arrived in Crimea in March. She became infected from her husband, who returned from the Russian capital later than the rest of the family. According to Penkovskaya, due to the fact that the family members of the infected woman refused to undergo observation at the observatory, the case materials on them were transferred to the court.
“The second case is in the city of Yalta. Yalta is today among the leaders in the number of cases registered in this territory. These are citizens of the Russian Federation, residents of Moscow, who arrived in Yalta. Some family members arrived on March 19. On March 24, one of the family members arrived from Moscow, who on the 5th showed symptoms of an ARVI clinic, with a temperature of up to 38 degrees.
The sick woman herself noted the first signs of the disease on the 11th and went to the infectious diseases department of the Yalta hospital. She refused hospitalization, but nevertheless underwent laboratory examination. Doctors accepted it already in conditions of caution regarding coronavirus infection. Based on the results of a laboratory examination, she was confirmed to have RNA of the new coronavirus infection virus, and she was hospitalized in the Yalta infectious diseases hospital.
The problem arises with immediate family members and close contacts. During the epidemiological investigation, it was revealed that in addition to the four people who were declared sick, there were two more children at their place of residence. Yesterday they were given orders for hospitalization in an observatory. They refused.
Materials have now been prepared for the Yalta City Court regarding their forced placement in an observatory. Thus, these are six people who are subject to observation in the conditions of the Yalta observatory,” Penkovskaya said.
Thus, 34 cases of COVID-19 infection have been officially confirmed in Crimea to date. Of these, 14 people have already fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals.
