In Yalta they are concerned about the fate of another historical estate - the mayor reassures
The Yalta cultural and historical community is ringing the alarm bell - construction work is underway in the building of a XNUMXth-century estate on the territory of the Kiev sanatorium.
After the rapid demolition of the house of the Krasnov House - the famous architect of the southern coast - not a single historical building in Yalta is safe, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
After the revolution, the estates of the Russian nobility on the southern coast of Crimea became sanatoriums, and in this status they survived until the collapse of the USSR. Afterwards, an unenviable fate awaited them if the building did not have protected status as a historical and architectural monument. The process of recognizing the cultural value of the site dragged on for years, and many coastal dachas did not live to see its completion.
In Russian reality, inclusion in the list of objects protected by law has become easier - any citizen can submit applications with historical information. Therefore, new owners of estates are in a hurry to transform until one of the conscientious citizens or local historians begins to attract public attention.
In February last year, they decided to clear the historic building in the center of Yalta of tenants. The owners explained this by saying that the estate would be demolished for multi-storey development. Thanks to the public outcry, the scientific and methodological council for cultural heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan included the estate in the list of identified objects “possessing characteristics of cultural heritage objects.”
Then ex-Minister of Culture Arina Novoselskaya assured that after a historical and cultural examination, the objects would be included in the list of objects under the protection of the law. However, this did not happen, and when construction work began on the estate building, the public perceived this as a return of the owners to plans to demolish the sesquicentennial mansion for the sake of another high-rise building.
However, the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, hastened to reassure the townspeople - the estate building is under protection, since it has the status of an identified cultural property and the owner is aware of the encumbrances.
“That is, its demolition and reconstruction are prohibited, only restoration,” the mayor pointed out. – Responsibility – up to criminal. At the same time, the owner was advised to clear the estate of fire hazards and other rubbish.”
It is clearing, not construction, that is taking place on the territory of the estate. The issue of the safety of the building is under the control of the administration and the Ministry of Culture of Crimea.
Let us remind you that at the beginning of May, the House of Krasnov, the famous architect of the South Coast, was demolished in Yalta. The object did not have time to be included in the list of cultural heritage, where the architect’s first house on Pushkinsky Boulevard was under protection. In a destroyed house, built according to his own design, Krasnov spent the most productive period of his career from 1903 to 1917.
