A rally against development and rising prices is being organized in Yalta
Yalta social activists and journalists will hold a rally on February 17 demanding the resignation of the head of the city administration, Alexei Chelpanov.
One of the organizers, journalist Sergei Sardyko, reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the cause of popular discontent was the development of the Primorsky beach, the cutting down of trees on the embankment, and the unsatisfactory state of the city's infrastructure. The meeting program also states that citizens will speak out against rising prices and tariffs, queues at kindergartens, bureaucracy and the indifference of officials.
The action will begin on February 17 at 12:00 on the square near the Yubileiny concert hall. “At the rally we will collect signatures for a ban on construction on Primorsky Beach,” Sardyko wrote.
Previously, he stated that a shopping center was being built in a 100-meter coastal zone on the main beach of the city under the guise of reconstruction.
