Chairman of the Yalta City Council Valery Kosarev stated this at a press conference in Simferopol.
According to him, a third of all outdoor advertising in Yalta is placed illegally, so it will simply be removed. In addition, in his opinion, all this abundance of advertising spoils the appearance of the city.
“Advertising media along the highway and in the city are mostly ugly,” said the city mayor. – The facades don’t look the best; they can be covered with advertising boards. Most advertising media will be façade advertising. Naturally, the architectural monuments will not be touched.”
Kosarev also remembered the sad state of the park near the registry office in Yalta, which, in fact, turned into a market. According to the official, he managed to come to an agreement with the owners of the pavilions; some of them are already being demolished by the owners themselves. This is the result of the work of the mobile group.
“The result is already there - this is the scandalous construction of shopping arcades on Pionerskaya Street in Yalta near our registry office, when the beautiful square and the registry office itself were simply built up with shops, and some of the shops are located directly at the bus stop. Come and see, the stores are being dismantled, and the developers are doing it themselves. A mechanism for working with them has been found; out of almost 6 developers, 4 do it themselves, negotiations are underway with 2,” the mayor assured.
