In Transcarpathia, a local deputy “earned 29 apartments through honest labor”
In 2017, Uzhgorod City Council deputy Ivan Voloshin purchased 29 apartments, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the publication of the local publication Argumentum.
The total area of the purchased apartments is more than 2 thousand square meters. m.
At the same time, the publication notes, the official cost of apartments is several tens of times lower than the real one. For example, an apartment with an area of 40,1 sq. m. officially cost a deputy only 25 thousand UAH, in reality - 35 thousand dollars, an apartment with an area of 48,4 sq. m. - officially in 1 thousand dollars, in reality - at 39 thousand dollars
In December 2017 alone, a deputy of the Uzhgorod City Council purchased 7 apartments.
In general, the peak activity of Voloshin’s apartment purchases occurred in the second half of 2017 - on July 4, the deputy bought an apartment with an area of 86,8 sq. m., on July 19 - an apartment with an area of 53,7 sq. m., on July 26 - an apartment with an area of 85 sq. m. On August 4, the deputy acquired an apartment with an area of 64,8 square meters. m. On the eighth, eleventh and twenty-ninth of September, Voloshin bought apartments with an area of 48,4, 40,1 and 72,4 square meters.
At the same time, 20 apartments from the general list with a total area of 1,8 thousand square meters are two apartment buildings located at the address: st. Elektrozavodskaya, 4. They, the publication notes, cost Voloshin 665 thousand dollars. Voloshin bought another 7 apartments in a house located at the address: st. Voloshina 18/1.
All transactions for the purchase and sale of real estate by Voloshin are registered by the same notary - Malinich Natalya Anatolyevna. And this is the wife of one of the prosecutors of the prosecutor’s office of the Transcarpathian region - Andrey Malinich.
Why a servant of the people needs so much real estate and for what purposes he uses it is not clear, journalists write. Voloshin’s talent for buying apartments at prices tens of times lower than market prices raises even more questions.
According to lawyer Yuri Karmazin, this may indicate the presence of illegal enrichment schemes.
“For 40 thousand UAH. You can buy a sofa, even a bad one. You can't even buy a shack in the village for that kind of money. It is likely that such an assessment was not made objectively. This shows how much reserve our country has for taxation and tax evasion. Obviously, each of these apartments costs not even 10, but 100 times more, and this is probably illegal enrichment. And clear tax evasion, and this fact, if it really occurs, can be considered a criminal offense. The second question is for the one who drew up the contracts and assessed the apartments at this price. These people also worked against the interests of the state and they are accomplices in the crime,” the lawyer emphasized.
