A monument to Ukrainian-Hungarian friendship was desecrated in Transcarpathia
The cross on Mount Kerek above Beregovo (Transcarpathian region) was desecrated by Ukrainian nationalists, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the online publication “Golos.ua”.
The words “Glory to Ukraine – Glory to the Heroes!” are written in paint on the walls of the monument. At the very base of the cross is a red and black UPA flag.
The cross was installed in 2001 on the occasion of the 2000th anniversary of the Nativity of Christ on the day of Saints Peter and Paul. At its base is buried a capsule with the following message to future generations:
“Brothers and sisters in Christ! This cross was erected as a gift to future generations on the verge of the third millennium and is dedicated to the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Christ. We, people, live at this time, at the very beginning of the Golden Age, we send you this message and wish you peace in your soul, among people on Earth, health and God's blessing. The message was compiled on the holy day of Peter and Paul, July 12.07.2001, XNUMX, Beregovo.”
