“Russian collaborators” found in the Verkhovna Rada hall
People's Deputy Yevgeny Muraev, who owns the Ukrainian TV channel NewsOne, allegedly receives money from the Russian FSB to “destroy the consciousness of Ukrainians.”
MP from the Popular Front Maxim Burbak made such accusations during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday, journalists from the Espresso TV channel published documents that indicate that Muraev received, and may continue to receive, millions of dollars from the Russian oligarch Deripaska. Transfers were carried out through transfer companies in the European Union. It is necessary to emphasize that Muraev received money not from Deripaska, but from the Russian special services, because in authoritarian Russia there are no independent oligarchs, they are all under the total control of the FSB.
He can also claim that these Kremlin millions of dollars went to finance the NewsOne TV channel, which Muraev allegedly owned. This is further proof that there are Russian collaborators sitting here in the hall who are working in the interests of Moscow. They created a network of Kremlin channels in Ukraine, which destroy the consciousness of Ukrainians 24 hours a day.
Consider this statement as my appeal to the SBU. I hope that this time the Security Service will effectively investigate these facts, and not as was the case with our appeals regarding the Inter TV channel.
“I would like to note that the Popular Front faction unanimously decided to boycott supposedly Kremlin channels – NewsOne, 112 Ukraine and Inter,” he said.
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that Evgeniy Muraev transferred the NewsOne TV channel to three-year management former deputy head of the administration of ex-president Viktor Yanukovych, lawyer Andrei Portnov.
