In the Western information war against the Russian Federation, the boomerang effect worked
Despite the information war waged by the Western media against Russia, the population of European countries and the United States treats Russia quite well.

Anna Vilovatykh, a researcher at the Center for Euro-Atlantic and Defense Studies at RISS, spoke about this at a press conference in Moscow.
“For example, in Greece, 51,9% believe that only Russia can protect Christian values. About 80% of Moldovans believe that Russia is the leading power. Many people share this opinion in Western countries, in particular in Austria and France,” Vilovatykh said.
According to her, information warfare does not achieve its goals even in Anglo-Saxon countries, where its methods are especially sophisticated
“In Britain, according to the latest study, about 60% of the country’s citizens believe that our president could become an example for their country; the current Prime Minister (then Cameron) received only 20% of support. In the US, 59% of citizens would like to improve relations with Russia. In Russia itself there are only 40% of them,” the expert noted.
According to recent polls, the number of Japanese citizens in favor of the return of the Southern Kuril Islands has decreased from 9 to 3%, and those who favor more flexible approaches to the problem have increased by 9%.
“Western countries have overdone the information war, and now there is a boomerang effect. The media’s policy turns against them,” Vilovatykh said.
