This was announced by the commander of the Zaporozhye battalion “Sich” Oleg Tkachenko.
“We had a meeting of commanders, I gave tasks - to identify volunteers who are ready to go to the East. That is, we are officially preparing to send guys to the eastern regions, despite the fact that our battalion has only recently been created,” Tkachenko said, as quoted by IPNews.
He noted that additional exercises will be conducted with those who express a desire to fight in Donbass. At the same time, speaking about a possible truce, Tkachenko said that “a truce is always good, but it depends on who it is with – with terrorists, with the authorities, with people – and depending on what depends on it. Because honor is the most important thing for a soldier, it is more valuable than life.”
Let us remind you that earlier Maidan activists, who are members of the People’s Rada, expelled Oleg Tkachenko, who held a leadership position, for falsifying documents. In addition, he is known as the “man-with-a-goose”: during the elections to the Verkhovna Rada, he used a live goose as an agitator for his candidacy.
As Navigator reported, yesterday Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Lyashko admitted that most of the fighters in the Azov battalion have a criminal record.
