Zaporozhye, April 03 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Zaporozhye, police officers searched the administration of the Khortitsa National Nature Reserve: they took away computers, documents and personal belongings of employees.

This was reported in the text of the official statement by the administration and members of the reserve’s workforce.
The search was carried out as part of a pre-trial investigation into signs of criminal offenses during the cutting down of green spaces on the island, although, according to the administration itself, only dead wood is being cut down.
“During the search, police officers seized computer equipment from structural divisions of the institution that had nothing to do with the subject of the investigation, in particular, in the department of scientific and educational work, the legal department, the environmental protection department, the accounting department, in total - more than 10 units , as well as original documents, digital media, and some personal belongings of the reserve’s employees,” the administration said.
Reserve employees note that the search was preceded by numerous inspections conducted by various regulatory authorities.
The reserve has more than once found itself at the center of land scandals, which, in particular, is due to the incomplete delimitation of the island into the lands of the reserve and the lands of the urban community.
