Zaporozhye, April 13 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Zaporozhye, pro-Russian activists and Maidan supporters came to traditional rallies. The Ukrainian rally attracted approximately a thousand people and was several times larger than that of its opponents.

A People's Assembly is taking place near the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration, which was organized by activists of the Zaporizhzhya Maidan and self-defense. According to the head of local self-defense, Sergei Tiunov, checkpoints have been organized near Zaporozhye, manned by both law enforcement officers and public formations. According to him, activists provided people at checkpoints with things and food. The purpose of checkpoints is to stop vehicles carrying suspicious people.
Representatives of the Right Sector are present at the meeting and behave calmly. Among the rally participants, journalists recorded officials from the regional state administration and the mayor's office.
Anti-Maidan supporters who gathered near the Lenin monument also behave calmly and somewhat passively. At first glance, there are significantly fewer of them than “Maidanovites.” So far they have not taken active steps, despite the fact that earlier information appeared on social networks about the possibility of seizing the Zaporozhye City Council.
