The Zaporozhye boxing club “Combat Gloves” hosted a boxing tournament in memory of Berkut fighter Sergei Tsvigun, who died during the riots in Kyiv in 2014.

The competition was held between veterans of the Berkut of Ukraine and employees of the special unit of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Zaporozhye. The Zaporozhye diocese also joined the organization.

23-year-old Tsvigun was shot dead by unknown assailants on Euromaidan who opened fire with firearms.

In total, 17 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died during the clashes.

The head of the Berkut Council of Veterans, Alexander Kournikov, recalled the unfulfilled promises of officials to name a street and a school in honor of Sergei Tsvigun.
