“I understand that the issues you are considering are very important,” he said during a session of the regional council. – But reconnaissance groups of Russian paratroopers are several tens of kilometers away. They have already taken Starobeshevo and are moving towards Volnovakha. Half a day and they will be here. We must make a decision about the defense of the city. We need to bring forward the equipment that the factories have and dig trenches. Call the unit commander, if there are any guns left, bury them. We need to get people out,” Tiunov emphasized.
“Today we urgently need to do everything to defend the city. In a day, the boys with blue berets will be here. I kindly ask the regional leaders to consider the issue of defending the city. There is no other way. Otherwise, what will happen there in the East will happen,” says the “self-defense activist.”
“I was in Ilovaisk for a week. We must understand that we are in a state of war. This is not panic. Today there are not enough roadblocks. A system of fortifications is needed. There are “Grads”, there are well-trained soldiers. If the city is ready to defend itself, then Russian strategists will not come here. If not, expect mines at home tomorrow,” Tiunov said.
