In Zaporozhye, old cops and new “cops” formed a gang and together robbed the apartments of citizens
The reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Ukraine has produced amazing results. In Zaporozhye, six members of an organized criminal group were detained from current, “new” police officers and former police officers from the Yanukovych era, dismissed under the so-called “lustration”. Both new and old, demonstrating the “continuity of generations,” united into one gang, which was engaged in robbery attacks on the apartments of townspeople.

The press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported this today.
“Law enforcement officers established that the gang included former employees of the Berkut special forces and current police officers,” the report says.
The attackers received information from informants about citizens receiving large sums of cash.
“Then they came in uniform to the place of residence of residents of Zaporozhye and, threatening them with firearms and physical harm, took away property and money,” the department specified.
Three attackers were detained during another robbery attack on the apartment of a Cossack, where they planned to take possession of a hundred thousand hryvnia. SBU officers have evidence of the group’s involvement in a number of robberies.
