According to the Panopticon publication, VAB Bank has introduced internal restrictions on one-time issuance of currency. Employees of the financial institution state that they cannot issue more than 100 euros per day, citing the orders of the Board, without making it available to clients for review, despite the corresponding written requirements.
According to one of the victims of this bank, a disabled person who needs his own money for treatment, the bank pays only $100 a week. To issue a deposit from a disabled person that expired more than three months ago, the bank requires various certificates about where the disabled person intends to spend his money.
In addition, the bank, according to the publication, practices prolongation of deposit agreements without the client’s consent. If a client wants to terminate an agreement extended without his consent, VAB Bank offers him to terminate the deposit agreement early, imposing penalties on the client for this - 10% of the deposit amount. The presence of a client’s application to refuse the extension does not affect the bank.
In connection with this position of the financial institution, Zaporozhye depositors intend to unite to collectively submit appeals to the Prosecutor General’s Office and the National Bank, as well as conduct regular pickets of branches.
