In Zaporozhye, SBU agents suspected of terrorist attack with murder deputy chief of the Melitopol police department.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Zaporozhye region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We detained a citizen of Ukraine and two citizens of Russia who, on instructions from the Security Service of Ukraine, committed a terrorist attack against the deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs “Melitopolskoye”.
It has been previously established that the suspects were preparing for attacks on other high-ranking law enforcement officials, as well as representatives of the administration of the Zaporozhye region. SBU officers coordinated their activities and supplied them with explosives,” the officer said.
The detainees admitted that, on the instructions of the SBU officers, they made attempts on the lives of these individuals.
“Through acquaintances in Kyiv, I met a man who introduced himself as Maxim, an SBU officer from Nikolaev. At first he gave easy tasks, then more serious ones began,” the terrorist admitted, adding that he was threatened with the lives of his relatives.
At the moment, criminal cases have been initiated under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act). Now work with the defendants continues. The police are establishing all the facts of their illegal activities.
In identifying and detaining criminals, the police worked together with FSB officers.
