His colleague, deputy of the Primorsky Village Council Yuri Pershikov, told Navigator about this.
Yurchenko was heading to the Zaporozhye region to the village to visit his parents, and also to meet with the Cossack priest.
“At the Chongar checkpoint, Yurchenko was detained by Ukrainian border guards, despite having all the documents. Yurchenko reported this by phone, after which contact with him stopped,” Pershikov said.
According to him, a little later the ataman was handed over to SBU officers who arrived from Zaporozhye.
