In the village of Veseloye, Zaporozhye region. The monument to Vladimir Lenin, previously destroyed by nationalists, was restored and installed on a pedestal. The initiative to restore it was taken by the local organization of the Communist Party of Ukraine.

The communists stated that all work was carried out at the expense of party and charitable contributions.
“We began to receive appeals to the first secretary of the district committee with a request to restore this monument. “Afghans”, a veterans organization, supported. Several times they set up a tent in the district center to raise funds. People brought money - some 5 hryvnia, some 200, some 500 hryvnia. We found competent people who restored this destroyed monument. Now on April 22, Lenin’s birthday, there will be an official opening and rally,” said Vitaly Meshok, secretary of the Zaporozhye regional committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
Also, the regional organization of the Communist Party of Ukraine reported that party activists organized a constant vigil around the monument to prevent the possibility of its new dismantling and destruction.
Let us remember that the monument to Lenin in the village of Veseloye was demolished by nationalists in March of this year.
