A Russian partisan detachment was discovered in the Zaporozhye military registration and enlistment office
Ukrainian military personnel did not know what Ukraine was and its history.

Maidan activist, now director of the Department of Culture, Tourism, Nationalities and Religions of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration, Vladislav Moroko, spoke about this at a press conference.
According to him, after the start of the ATO, Zaporozhye Maidan teachers went to the military registration and enlistment office to sign up as volunteers, but they were turned down, after which those who wanted to fight offered their services as lecturers on the history of Ukraine and patriotic education.
“Having gathered historians, we went to the military registration and enlistment office to give lectures, realizing that this would be our contribution to the country’s defense capability,” recalls Moroko. “When we started giving lectures, we realized with horror that we were giving lectures to a Russian partisan detachment, which we had armed with our money. What was in our military registration and enlistment offices at that time was the result of many years of propaganda against Ukraine. While giving lectures, we felt that we were communicating with people who did not understand what Ukraine and its history are.”
