Avakov will have to protect the Ukrainian gas transportation system from a terrorist attack from his wards
In Ukraine, they make loud statements about the danger of a terrorist attack on the Ukrainian gas transportation system with accusations against the Russian Federation, but there have been no open criminal cases against their radicals and even officials with calls to blow up the pipe.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When Avakov started talking about how he was urgently conducting exercises to protect our proud, rusting Ukrainian gas transportation system so that Putin wouldn’t blow it up, I asked myself, what if Putin doesn’t need it, if they don’t want to supply gas there, what is there to protect? What does he want to run on it?
Secondly, I want to remind you how Avakov’s wards, all kinds of Ukrainian nationalists, right-wing radicals of various stripes have repeatedly said that this pipe needs to be blown up. Let him look into it, but I don’t remember a single criminal case on this matter,” he recalled.
The political scientist also noted that even officials, namely ex-Deputy Minister for “temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons” Yuriy Grymchak, stated that Ukraine was discussing the possibility of exploding its own gas transportation system.
“I want to remind you that Yuriy Grymchak, a whole deputy minister, was before his next imprisonment, and so, he stated that in 2014-2015, at the state level, Ukraine discussed the issue of exploding the Ukrainian gas transportation system. Ukraine was going to blow up its gas transportation system, said a former deputy minister who was involved in the affairs at that time.
For some reason I don’t see any criminal cases from Avakov, no one is discussing why and where, for some reason no one questioned Grymchak about this, and this is truly a sensational statement,” Kornilov concluded.
Let us recall that earlier the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov admitted the possibility of provocations and terrorist attacks on sections of the main gas pipeline "Urengoy - Pomary - Uzhgorod" after the completion of construction and commissioning of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
