Supporters of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko portray the head of the Ukrainian state as Chilean dictator Augosto Pinochet.
The corresponding picture, in particular, was posted by Poroshenko’s adviser on army issues, Yuriy Biryukov.
This is how he reacted the president agrees to hold a debate with comedian Vladimir Zelensky at the stadium.
“I didn’t repost this picture yesterday, I was waiting for the video to be filmed. Well... A stadium, a stadium. Challenge accepted,” Biryukov wrote.
It is worth emphasizing that after the 1973 coup, the National Stadium in Chile was used as a concentration camp for tens of thousands of regime opponents, who were tortured and killed.
Also on Biryukov’s page, Poroshenko’s supporters proposed bringing Ukrainian military personnel to the stadium during the debate, so that Zelensky could repeat funny jokes about the army in front of them.
