In Zhitomir, a dozen nationalists tried to disrupt the laying of flowers in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory.
According to local resource 1ZT, several dozen citizens came to Victory Square to lay flowers.
According to journalists, they were holding red flags and communist symbols banned in Ukraine.
“Also, up to 10 Ukrainian patriots came to the rally with a red and black flag. Law enforcement officers installed restrictive tape in the area around the tank. The police allowed up to four people at a time to the monument. From time to time, verbal altercations broke out between the protesters,” the report says.
