About it reported the local website “Journal of Zhytomyr”.

When considering the issue of leasing communal property at a meeting on August 5, a proposal to refuse was voiced by member of the executive committee Dmitry Tkachuk.

“We propose to remove this issue from the agenda, since separatism is being developed in this institution,” said Dmitry Tkachuk.

Only 19 of the 22 members of the executive committee present (43 in total) voted for this proposal, and no decision was made.

As a result, the children’s and youth public organization “Karate-do Sports Club “Jitte” is provided with non-residential premises of secondary school No. 2 for rent for 11 years and 21 months.

Member of the executive committee Sergei Forest commented on this vote on Facebook and noted that some members of the executive committee, instead of developing sports, were engaged in a witch hunt.

“There are not many sports clubs or sports sections in Zhitomir. Instead of developing sports and allocating money, individual members of the “people's executive committee” such as Dmitry Tkachuk, Natalia Volynets, Nikolai Kostritsa and similar home-grown sports experts and “patriots in their own pockets” began a witch hunt. The “Jitta” karate club has been around for more than 10 years; many of its students have become champions of Ukraine and Europe, defended the honor of the city at many all-Ukrainian tournaments, and then someone didn’t like the head of the club, Dmitry Koryagin, you see, he said the wrong thing. If somewhere he is guilty of something, then we have law enforcement agencies that must render their verdict and put him in prison if he is guilty. The club teaches the martial art of karate to children and this needs to be supported, and not killed in the bud. We don’t have many good coaches in our city,” Forest wrote.

In turn, member of the executive committee Dmitry Tkachuk refuted Forest’s opinion about the refusal to rent the hall to the “Dzhitte” club.

“Nobody refused “Jitta”. The decision has been approved. These are individual members of the executive committee who are so incompetent in procedures or so preoccupied with creating rumors and sensations that they again did not listen to the end and came up with the result. And there was a discussion about separatism, since earlier a member of the executive committee, Viktor Kotvitsky, provided everyone with screenshots of the club coach’s social media page containing pro-Russian propaganda,” Dmitry Tkachuk said in a comment to the Zhitomir Journal.
