The department of the State Penitentiary Service in the Zhytomyr region informed about this.
As it turned out, the grandmother gave the drugs to her grandson in the pre-trial detention center in Sal. They managed to transfer the drugs to the pre-trial detention center, but they prevented the man from taking them to the colony.
“In the interrogation report, the prisoner explained that he found this substance before imprisonment and hid it at his place of residence, and while already in custody in the pre-trial detention center of the Zhytomyr UVP-8, he asked his grandmother to secretly transfer him the specified substance along with food,” - reported the prison service.
The event was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine, and a pre-trial investigation is currently being conducted by the Zhytomyr Police Department of the State Police Department in the region.
